After Ike ran, he took refuge under the World Tree. He sheltered with its leaves and ate the fruit it bore. The fear of the mad beast turned him paranoid until he was almost driven to madness. It was only then that the World Tree spoke to him, giving Ike the courage to face the mad beast.
