Ike was but a lone shepherd in Grand Gaia, living his days on his father's farm. One day, the farm was scorched by a mad beast with claws of flame. Ike's father gave him a cleaver and sent the child away before facing his own demise. The enraged beast slashed at Ike's father and slaughtered him like a sheep. Ike ran towards the woods, swift as the beast's claws, and sought refuge under the World's Tree.
