Daily 24 by Papercut

I've been going for a higher horizon line now, I find it interesting how it makes the image more about the journey.

Cool, I'm happy that you enjoy it. So much easier to stick to a commitment when other people are following your work, makes it more fun as well!

Thanks~ To answer your question Lilyflower, there are many reasons as to why I started doing the dailies, but basically it gives me a good gauge of progress.
Environments can be hard to do, since there are a lot of elements to consider. But know that if you can paint a single object, you already have the knowledge to paint a scene (you can think of an environment like zooming in to an object, so you see all the bumps and things from an ants perspective). However, since there are so many elements to consider, there are a lot of things that can go wrong. You just have to iron out all the mistakes one by one. This is pretty much what I'm doing with the dailies.

You've got a great imagination to keep coming up with these scenes!

Thanks Ironpine, I don't really have any specifications other than it being some kind of environment so I can get away with pretty much anything. But I usually base it around something like: I want to paint a waterfall, and I want the horizon to be high up. Then I go from there: if there is a waterfall, there will be rocks and water, with that comes algae, and I want architecture for a focal point etc.
In the end, maybe the waterfall isn't the focus, but it helped me come up with the idea.
