I Got the Stylus. It'll take some getting used to, but I love it.
It works great, and I can make lines much smoother, I think. It has a wider hold than the normal 3DSXL stylus, but a similar point. However, the tip on the stylus is much rounder, so I don't have to risk scratching my screen more. Once I get a new 3ds I'm using this stylus definitely.
