Havnt drawn in ages so its probs scruffy... btw the writing is latin for "we know science is hard but within the stars of the universe only science can prevail" it means that we are only capable of doing what human knowlage has to offer.
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

He refers to himself as NeverNinja. He doesn't have a 3Ds or Colors, so he's uploading it on Deviant Art.
I would love to do more art on Colors, but my Internet refuses to accept my 3DS so I had to resort uploading sketches to Deviant Art.

I noticed how Midnight Flame didn't have a back story and thought that I could write her one.
I also took you having one eye and put it into her character. I don't know why, but maybe putting a bit of you in the character made her more like you. I don't know, but here it is.
As a filly, Midnight loved the stars, often staying up late just to study and memorize everything about them. But during the day, or any other time, her horn would have pyromantic sputters, or have random fire spells cast. To fix that, her single mother took her to a magic school to help her control it. She was soon kicked out for sleeping during it and having the magic go out of control. After trying other schools, all of which ended up like the first, Midnight became distraught and bullied for not being able to control it. Stressed and panicked, her mother tried the last school in Canterlot, Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns.
She failed the entrance exam after another sputter. Depressed and feeling worthless she made her way out before Celestia stopped her and asked why didn't she go to another school instead there since the judges denied her.
The filly explained her situation and the Princess saw her problem. Midnight began her first day of school the next week.
Her time at the school was long and frustrating. She was far from being the best and her sputters made things harder. When the teachers were about to throw in the towel and kick her out Celestia would stop them and ask why. Every single answer was the same, "She can't do it. She isn't good enough." And the Princess would reply the same thing, "Only the more of a reason to teach her."
Soon she became one of the best Pyromancers in her class. She never became Celestia's personal student, but she owed the Princess very much. She was also often caught staying in the school very late, just to use the school's telescope.
One day when she was experimenting with a new fire spell, the school became ablaze.
The mare was trapped as well as a couple others. The flames were destroying the school as well as creating a barricade. A group of soldiers pushed there way through and managed to save all the mares without a scratch, except for Midnight. Only one soldier heard her cries for help and climbed all the way to her. The building collapsed before they got to the entrance. They were found after the fire died down a little still alive, though on fire. They were rushed to the hospital.
The soldier was fine for being in a fire, Midnight not so much.
Shrapnel got in her right eye and demanded to be removed. She was scarred and whenever they put her fire out, it would light back up an hour later. They had to ignore it, but continue keeping it out or damage would be done.
When she got out of a coma, she found her depth perception gone and her body weak. They tried to give her and eyepatch to block the gap or a glass eye, but they would either burn or warp. The only way to block was to style her mane, now made of fire, over that gap.
The soldier left earlier, and she was never able to thank him.
After being released from the hospital, she recovered at home and waited for the school to be rebuilt. When it was, she was suspended for reckless behavior.
She returned to the school different. Quiet. She never talked much for the rest of the school year, but still studied her passion. The night sky.
After graduating she took on an internship at the astronomy branch of the Canterlot library and also conducted studies there.
It took a while for her to get out of her shell and even then, she only talked to those close to her.
Years later she ran into the soldier who saved her from the fire. He also had the same fire mane side effect as her those his was more severe.
As a joke, his friend set the two up on a date, and neither went on many before. The date was such a disaster that it was more of a success. It caused the two to open up more than the ever had and follow up with more dates.
Turns out that the sol

dier, named Inferno, had a young son which, oddly enough, never bothered Midnight. He taught her how to control her mane and to maintain it at a low enough temperature for her to receive a glass eye.
After a year, the couple married.
Midnight soon became an astronomy professor at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns and would often practice her lessons on her husband.
