One major point, to why that shouldn't be the backstory...
WHY WOULD HILLS CONTINUE TO WEAR A PERSONS SCARF, WHO HE KILLED IN COLD BLOOD?
I think you should atleast redo the scarf part... But I have another idea.
To make it possibly less Mary Sue-ish, instead of Hills going on a murderous rampage, he's reduced to a quivering mass of pure insanity for awhile.

Yeah. that's what I was editing it for. :P Some revisions and complete edit on scarf. I'll change lotsa stuff.
