bleeehhh sometimes I feel like I'll never be in a relationship because EVERY crush I've had has ended like this. ambiguity and me not sure how the other person feels, and then one comment that violently snaps me to the reality that there is no chance and there never was.

and I'm also kind of frusterated because I have a cis (cis means not trans) gay male friend who is "supposedly" my "best friend" (I don't really consider him my best friend anymore but eh) and ever since we came out to each other he's been TOTALLY fine with us (him) making jokes about it but when I try to vent about it he doesn't listen or care and I know he doesn't even really recognize my gender so it's really frustrating and it honestly feels like he's making fun of me sometimes .-.

like, for example- we have this 'codeword' that we use when we want to talk about queer-ness (me being trans & him being gay) and like ok over the weekend I was with some other friends (not him) and this woman gave me her phone number. It was a little awkward because I don't know her all that well and she's a fair bit older than I am (and I clarify, no, I wasn't rly uh interested) but it was really flattering and all because obvious reasons as well as it probably means I'm "passing" or whatever....

OK so I texted my friend this, like just w/e, and his response was "aha, I'm getting rekt by a bigger (codeword) :')"

basically, he meant it in a "forever alone" kind of sense, like, "I'm getting beat by a trans person".

which really hurt my feelings a lot. I don't know if you understand why or not. but basically it sort of felt like he was implying I'm undateable because of this problem I have that I can't really control.

yeah.

sorry for venting to you so much, I just feel like you're really easy to talk to and you seem to have really good insights, even though you're not queer :P
