Went for more of an over-the-top anime anti-hero look. Seeing as he is slightly evil with a sickly twisted sense of humor and at first appears to a jerk, while deep down having a strong sense of justice and very protective, I decided to give him an appearence that matched said traits. I knew I'd lose trying to go with subtlety since EVERYONE else did such a better job then I ever could, I decided to just go as over-the-top as possible. SEE COMMENTS

(CONTINUED): I took lots of inspiration from other simular manga characters of the same personality type and applied it to this rendition. Since the others were focusing on giving him street clothes with the color palatte of Talo's fur, I decided to do something out of the box and give him an anime-antihero styled wardrobe that took colors from his "phantom talons". Yeah it's stupid, but better to be unique then trying to cop on others. I made sure to give him some coloration around the eyes that matched the spot colors on his wolf face around his eyes. I even gave him some false wolf ears made out of his hair, cheesey I know. The wolf belt with his face and trench-coat symbols are little corny but I like it. Yeah, I went ahead and gave him his actual "phantom talons" instead of making them part of his wardrobe or symbols. The way I see it, why not have him keep them since it's one of the coolest traits to his design? Sorry if you wanted something more realistic or un-anime.......

They're tracing photos and claiming "they only used reference", stealing from one of my friends and a fairly popular artist on dA, and they get exponentially more positive attention than my friend, who's ideas were stolen.
