I did not do this for two years and I ended up hurting my arm, I couldnt draw for year, and drawing here is painful.
Gave myself Tenniselbow and hurt my wrist pretty badly.
I'm better now, but not the same.
please be careful, fellow artists.

Oh gosh, so THAT'S what happened?! I'm glad to hear it's better, but I had no idea that could even happen. I wonder if the size of the 3DS makes a difference (xl vs reg) or just frequency. I'm glad you're sharing this with others. I only draw periodically, but I know a lot of people who upload every day, even multiple things a day, or spend hours on art after art. I guess that's good advice for overuse of any body part though. I know my dad hurt his back for a while and there were warning signs. Anyways, it's good to hear from you again. Sorry I'm rarely ever on dA.

A tennis elbow freaking hurts, I know One spring, I've fallen on my elbow because of a thin layer of ice (I'm from Canada so snowing during spring is not uncommon). For a whole summer my elbow was hurting me.

i cant believe this didnt happen to me when i used to draw all day and night with a stylus that was too small for my hand. for years. :l
(i lost my normal stylus and had to buy a new one that is smaller then the ones that nintendo sells.)
i did end up getting a new one

oh wow i didnt know this thanks for the heads up,glad to hear your doing better :) on a side note to anyone who remembers me no i am not dead lol my shoulder buttons are jacked so i gotta get a new 3ds :( hope to be back soon i miss this comunity you guys are great
