You could practice hair? Like practice using 3-4 colors in hair and the hair shading too. Idk though I'm not good at this advice stuff lol.

All I have to say to improve is to keep practicing. PRACTICE. PRACTICE. Observe other artists' work. Question it. How did they do that with the hair? Then do research. Experiment, you may never know you find something out of experimenting that comes easiest to you. PRACTICE. Hope that helps sweety.
