I actually have nearly fully fledged strories. i want #emss and #taom to be an anime series, but that will never happen <xD i tried to do some comic slides, but my art then was sooo bad so i closed it up and haven't gone back to it in ever...

They have multiple, tinier cores that connect the body together! Those aren't really important though. So, lets say Boss' arm was entirely removed, cores and all.

A new core would be made automatically! Smoke is required to manifest a core, but if the head/main core is gone, then that's the end for him, no exception.

Their lifespan depends on their color! For ones with white smoke, they're very quick to deteriorate. Like, they never live past 100 years.
beings with various monochrome shades don't exist in the modern era, however they did in previous times.
And to be blunt, all of the beings live longer than humans!

I honestly don't know myself, but it's probably less then a thousand. [More shrugging]

Endelle kept them alive for the fact that they'd be valuable assets in the future. Also the possibility that killing Boss could cause unrest with his species. Unrest is never a good thing.

To answer the unrest question: Boss as an individual isn't important. His powers, which also extend to manipulating the shape of anyone who is his species, is.

The idea of someone with a prized ability like that, just dying, would drive his kin to eradicate Endelle and anyone like them, or was related to them.

Just to ensure that any other beings like Boss wouldn't disappear.
Also, "anyone" being anything that was artificially made. And I'm not talking about /all/ artificial beings getting destroyed, just whatever was in the city.

So there'd probably be social unrest, I suppose!

And for the reproduction question: They're created asexually!

soo... how would Selus play into that. i mentioned the idea of them having telekinetic ability..
as in, able to move/shape/deconstruct-reconstruct basically any item, and on living things, xan influence things, like life support or halting their life span
All of that to a certain extent. Selus is imposing their mental will upon the composition of said item or being. it isn't all-powerful and has limits.
if selus strains themself too much, it can cause strain on their mind/essence.

but then again, push Selus too far, they could probably work up enough willing to uproot a mountain(range) or make some comets fall. but doing that is OOHHH so dangerous to them.

Selus is comet person. yupyup. and a final dying act, maybe s,crew up the core of the sun or planet. (yea, no that is tooooo much)

They're "manufactured", in a way. And then "recycled", to create a new being.

Any two or more of Boss' species whose bond was strong enough for them to desire making a new, singular being of their own would simply have their cores melded together!

Of course, the bond doesn't have to be romantic. A platonic bond works just as well.

There is a sacred place sorta! The species originated in the mantles of their planet. They are created there, and they die there. Dying there is customary, almost second nature to them.

Death in any other place is likely to be shameful/pitiful.

i alway thought shape shifting and telekinesis were the most epic abilities because there is simply next to no limit to what you can do with that.
Shruikan, Phobos, and the End Master are some of my more main Shapeshifters, but End Master also has an extreme form of telekinesis.

The End Master (person on my profile pic) is basically the main character,but can also be easily seen as the villian of the stories of EMSS & TAOM. She is a... troubled one for sure and i kinda made her a super downer :u
Shruikan has a sloghtly better story, but it.. yeaaa and Phobos is Shruikans "father" of sorts..
Phobos becomes the Demon God of Fear, basically making Shruikan the Lord of Fear.
End Master Serris is the original banished being and the "Bane of the Universes"

you know how Boss is significant to his race?
well, what if Selus was just working there to protect/keep an eye on him/something like that...
and maybe it is just a persona: duty for him or maybe some higher ups or something of the species asked him to support Boss and make sure he doesn't die prematurely.

In one word, End Master and a sadly large portion of my ocs are stoic. they go through a ton of junk, but the keep on going and try to find the best path.

unfortunately or fortunately, depending on the way it can be viewed, the End Master's version of the ideal is basically a reset button for all of existance.... e3e

contrary to how she is shown in the profile pic, she has the down right coldest heart when it comes to my ocs. Cruel, overly intellegent, and cynical of life. after dealing with so much in her unending and painful life, she has lacked empathy of almost any sort for basically eons.

but on the most rare occassion, that icy glare can turn into one of remorse or maybe true amusement. but that is beyond rare.
she is not fun to be around o3o
she affects the gravity around her so bad, she slows time to nearly a halt in the inches surroundering her. her existance warps time and space.
some people feel the waves of time and space when she exerts her power and it affects the flow of time throughout the network of universes that exist, also causing time to super speed up or crawld to nearly a halt depending on where you are relative to what time normally would flow like.
She is one of my strongest/oldest/most intellegent ocs. but not quiet number one. there is more to her abilities as well

starting with her forms:
she can take on ANY appearence. even metal or inorganic, or plasma ANYTHINGGG.
simply because after a scientific something happened A WAYYYY long time ago (made her completely immortal/she can't even end herself, even with all of her power :0)
she is made out of an element(?) that mimics the properties of of all other elements depending on the energy applied to it. ranging in size, shape, color, properties, you name it. similar this with shruikan, except he was always like that along with phobos b/c they are actually originally beings of raw energy from the beginning of the universe who basically condensed and crafted their own physical forms.
ANYWAYS,
one of her gigantic forms she often turns into (to consume worlds, which i will get to) is an enormous dragon-like being that the Sages (the ones who banished her) called the Universe End Dragon. Because she could literally END the universe.

basically, (for now) the Sages are an entire race that watches over the universes<---(multiverse theory on steroids, except there are no mirror images of people, just many different universes, like bubbles, all around each other) and "protect" them. they are one of the oldest races, but SPOILER ALERT, Serris made them. Before she was banished later and became the End Master, but even they don't know that.

Anyways, she swallows up entire worlds and galaxies. And eventually, was banished. Now this is where it gets... either weird or cool, depends.
The worlds aren't destroyed when consumed. They are like... hmm Saved? like in a videogame... their exact existance is saved by the End Master. The material thst made up the worlds just becomes more of the odd element she is made of and all the souls and everything is locked away for safe keeping... in a truely immortal vessel. That is her way of rendering death null and void. All beings are merelt put into a slumber where they would dream.

they would just dream their own perfect dream and there wouldn't be any more conflict.
SO. that is her goal. Gather up all of existance.
Once that is done, EMSS ends and TAOM begins. She creates just one little universe and makes a Big-Bang of sorts, but she has carefully contructed somethings. There are other Masters and blah that is another story. Ends are other (mostly truely evil) beings that got banished to the End Dimension (super void prison dimension made originally just for the end master) for truly heinous acts. mass genocide, war mongering ect. But when they gget sent to her, well, she takes them. Then she gives them a new purpose. They are turned around and become her instruments of her will. puppets of sorts. and Shruikan and Phobos become 2 of those after their homeworld was "destroyed"
