I'd say if you reference pic is on the top screen not the bottom then you aren't tracing. It can be hard to tell sometimes from people's replay. I agree with you it would be nice if they took the option to trace away. I use reference on my 3ds screen just for convenience of having the pic right there. Also about losing followers it happens to everyone. When someone's account hasn't been active for a long time the colors staff will delete the account and there goes a follower. But if you take a look most pics on here these days don't even get a ton of likes anywas even the week's best ones towards the top. I think the gallery has changed a lot since they added the follow option, some of the changes weren't as good as you'd think. Now that people don't really have to work at the community aspect it's not quite as good as it used to be. It's hard to explain but I think a lot of people get frustrated on here.
thanks :) even most of the ones where I don't use a DS reference I have one in real life or a magazine pic or something, I just am not really that creative. The few that I don't use any reference at all are a bit generic. Just try not to get too frustrated, I think part of the issue is the age group and preferences of the majority of people on here tend to go towards Manga. Also people are into OC's which to me if you just keep drawing the same OC not that original either :) But draw for your own enjoyment and for those of us (myself included) who do like your artwork.
Reply: Well, you can usually tell by watching the playback. If the artist seems to have an easy time following outlines, that usually means they set the reference imsge to overlay, though it's not definative, or consistent. I did watch the playback a little, and it did seem that way, but like I said, even topscreen references can make it easy for some people.
However, I think this whole "traced" issue is treated as a bigger problem than it actually is.
Hi again! Although I know next to nothing about the series, I do know that this is a fantastic piece of work! I love the lighting and 3D, and the proportioning is flawless.
I'm glad you enjoyed the SLR pic! I had so much fun working on it over that weekend. Anyway, I hope to see more paints from you soon! Keep up the awesome work!
re: I.... *sigh* I thought it wouldbe more about dragons when I first saw it, but it's more about fighting and power! Don't get me wrong I have watched a little of it I love the indestructable aliean! >:Dthey were screawed (at first) with him around!
re: To collab, you just need to privately (like email) give your friend(s) the pas.sword to either your account or another. Then start on part of a painting and upload it set to Private. If they're logged into the account you uploaded it to, they can download it and, since they were logged in to the same account it was uploaded to, Colors considers it theirs and lets them add to it and upload it back. You can keep going back and forth adding stuff until you're satisfied and then upload the finished product to both (or one) of your accounts. Did that make sense?
Heeey, it's been a long time indeed, sorry for the late answer. ^^ I don't really know DBZ very well, but I'll try something for sure, thank you for the request! ^^ Also the 3D and details reproduction are awesome here, good job! :'D
Reply: The original photo was taken on a seperate device, with 3mp. The 3DS ibelieve is only 2mp. Sorry 'bout your 3DS painting content. I suppose your gallery here can be considered an archive of sorts, though I suggest backing it all up on another system at some point. or at least the ones you care about most.
Yeah, I had to send it for repairs, I had bought the 3 year warranty so I don't have to pay for it but I'm still waiting for it to come back. The right hinge completely broke off. It's repaired already and at the warehouse in New York so I Just have to wait for them to mail it back to me. I understand about the drawing, it can be difficult. It seems like the more people I have following me the less likes I get on my drawings. It's disheartening but I try to move past it because I just enjoy drawing anyway and would like the people who do appreciate my art to have a chance to see it. What else is new, anything?
no pokemon games, I'm not much into rpg gammes really, I like Legend of Zelda and that's the closest I get to an RPG which I know doesn't really count as one.
