Yeah, it's a strange approach to say the least.
Although I will GLADLY drop sixty bucks for essentially two Fire Emblem routes. I'm going on the Black side first though, no doubt.

I'll probably do a full play through of both considering my love of the FE franchize but I'll probably pick white first due to the fact that I'm more of the peace loving spirit. Oh I cannot wait!

Yeah, I was disappointed that they took that approach.
But at the same time, it sounds like a fine value. Awakening was forty bucks, and getting both versions of this game adds up to sixty. The story is the same on both versions up to Chapter Six, after which the story branches off completely. Both stories are as long as Awakening was.
All in all, this game sounds much more ambitious and interesting than Awakening, so I'm willing to spend more on it.

Oh yess, I am going for Nohr! >:D Mostly because I didn't get the choice to side with Plegia in Awakening... xDDD And I'm not really all that into the eastern style Hoshido's got goin' on.. ewe'' But heck yes! MU's back! >:D

The stupid thing is, if you download it you can choose where to go from chapter 6. SO WHY NOT MAKE IT LIKE THAT FOR THE RETAIL VERSION?! It's just annoying in my opinion

What do you mean when you said black or white? Is there going to be different verisons of this game?

I need to check out this Nintendo Direct xD What ive read/seen so far here is that there may be(is) two versions of this game. I may get White 1st since I love Awakening. Plus you know what they say..."Once you go black, you never go back" xD and i most certainly dont want to deny the white version lolololol xD (jk)

It's unfair to say it's simply a ploy for money. Except for the first 6 chapters, there are 2 very different story branches. 2 times the work means they should get 2 times the reward [money]. That's not even counting the third neutral branch. If anything, they're being generous. From the praise I've heard, the people working on this game earned every penny.
