Typically either extreme anger or sadness will trigger the transformation. It's also worth noting that despite being in control Flame tends to be a lot more reckless as Darkfire so it's worth excercizing caution if he starts changing. And yes when transformed he does go by the name Darkfire not Flame. The only exception to this is Ruby who still calls him Flame.

(And while I'm at it here's a useless fact. Since Flame wasn't born with the ability to control fire Flame's mirror self actually has no firepower. So all Darkfire's power is drawn from Flame. This tends to lead to Flame passing out shortly after returning to his normal self, or more commonly, passing out as darkfire before reverting to back to Flame. And despite Flame not liking his dark self it is his most common transformation.)

how bout that char u got up there and my Char Jacob. hes suposed to be kinda like a tuogh guy but is kinda small for his age (whic is 13)

Jacob:*leaning against a wall with a cattail weed in his mouth*....

Flame: *walks past Jacob with his hands in his pockets swishing his tail back and forth thinking.*

Jacob: ...*watches him pass, Flame can feel Jacobs eyes watching him*

*Flame stops walking for a second and he twitches his ear. He then turns into an alley and stops again. waiting to see if Jacob trys to follow him.*

Jacob: *stands up and walks to the ally but stops at the corner lookng down the ally at Flame with his neon yellow eyes*.... *spits out the weed*

Flame: Something wrong? *He says to Jacob without looking at him*

Jacob: *doesn't speak* .... *has a dark look on his face*

Flame: *Turns around starting to get annoyed* There a problem?

Jacob: *stares t Flame* ....hm...

*Flame's ear twitches again and he turns around and leaves the alleyway. Once around the corner he jumps onto a nearby streetlight where he sits and waits.*

Jacob: hmm.... *jumps up onto a streetlight across from Flame and watches him* ... who are you?

Flame: That's what I should be asking you. Why are you following me? You've never seen a dragon hedgehog before or something?

(I gtg to bed it's midnight here and I gotta get up at 6 am)

Jacob: I've seen plenty in my time. Just none that dare to enter my ally...

Flame: *laughs* Ok first things first I am the only dragon hedgehog. If you've seen any others it was Halloween. And second it ain't "your" alley. Now are you gonna introduce yourself or are you gonna sit there with your attitude trying to threaten me all day. I got better things to do then to waste my time here.

Jacob:*glares* ....this is in fact MY Alley. Ask the locals....*studys Flame*...

Flame: *Glances to his sides before looking back at Jacob obviously growing bored* What locals?
