I don't even know how to get on the trending list. I've seen stuff on there with less than 10 likes/comments, so maybe it has to do with popularity right after uploading.

You need to get at least four likes or four comments in the first ten minutes of posting.

Yes, I agree with you. Some of lame stuff ends up on top, but the good artworks are overlooked. Maybe they should make a tag for childish junk! By the way I checked out your gallery, nice.

Its very true. I try my best to showcase other great artists on here because it seems the community is slowly drifting away from how it was two years ago.

so true. The little sunset is very pretty with the stars of the coming night sky. We have to paint just for the enjoyment of creating.

I know right! It's horrible. I guess it all depends on how populair you are, not on how good your art is.

Exactly. When I first joined, Top Ranked was only for the finest art that blew everyone away, such as Earth as Seen from the Moon. But no popularity system is perfect, and now if you have like 300 followers and upload a scribble about how lonely you feel, three hundred people will see it and possibly respond. But if you just started and have less than ten, the best painting in the history of Colors could go unnoticed.

Pandering to a fandom (pan-dom?) does not and should not account for a lack of artistic talent. Especially when you steal "humour" (and I use "humour" in the loosest sense possible here) from other people.

This is RIDICULOUS it took probably very little effort to draw that cheeto thing and the amazing undiscovered artists get nothing but anger and the pain of watching the popular people get tremendous support for their very poor effortless paintings

yep. that happens to me too... i'll spend FOUR FREAKEN HOURS on something, only to get like, ten likes in the first week! i'd like the painting on the left. ( :

Ya this is dumb, but thats how all of these kinds of rank based systems work.....so instead of worrying bout this lesser peice of art, CONTINUE TO DRAW....no matter what..never give up... If you have what it takes then continue, afterall the real word..lol, heh......great work Btw...

Truth. I'm not even that good and I've seen a few colorful lines (JUST LINES) at Trending. Meanwhile I've NEVER made it on that I can think so... wow Colors.
