Then and Now - Hadeo by Kimmi-suTT
Hadeo met Zoey the Demon when he was very young. He practically grew up with her.
The day he became a demon was the day when his village was attacked. He fought to protect his family, friends and his home. Very few escaped, but those who did was thanks to Hadeo's sacrifice.
He was bleeding to death near the last place he worked, a bar that many travelers visited ... including Zoey.

As he expected, Zoey came into the bar to find him. He thought it would be his last moment with her and confessed his true feelings for her.
He loved her.
He planned to marry her when he gained ownership of the bar.
He was heart broken.
" ... It's not fair ... I'll n-never ... get to see y-you ... again ..."
He looked at her with tears in his eyes.
Smiled, and closed his eyes.
He woke up.
The smell of fresh blood overwhelming his nostrils. The bodies of the men who attacked his village laid before him. He was confused.
How was he alive?
How did he-?
Where-?
Why-?
He froze as he heard foot steps behing him. He turned in a rush and tackled his prey, eager to kill them ... but he froze again. Looking down at Zoey who was reaching up to stroke his cheek. She was small ... smaller than before. 'What happened?' He thought.
"Welcome back Hadeo ... you're a Demon now."
