Hehe, yeah RPG's can be pretty tough sometimes, but it can be worth it for the story.
I definitely don't like RPG's with too much grinding or too many enemy encounters. It can get too tedious and boring!

The kind of games that I like are more like platformers like megaman. (which is my favorite game series! ^ u ^)

I think the only kind of genre that I don't like are first person Sh00ters. Maybe because I'm not very good at them. xD

But I always felt like earthbound was always in that sweet spot where it has all these different kind of quirky characters, and a surprisingly deep and touching story.
And not too difficult for beginner RPG goers to boot. It's perfect for short spurts of gameplay, or even long runs if you have the time.
It's one of those rare RPG's for me where I don't mind replaying every once in a while. It's a game that has aged quite well.

It's so perfect! You are so amazing!

Its got a touch of oldschool difficulty, but its easier that alot of JRPG's, remember to use jeff and his bottle rockets, paula and her magic, ness a healer and heavy damage dealer. And poo's pretty much a everyman.
Played it just last year for the first time, its not perfect, a god send, but its a little gem by all means, very very great game.
