Color Schemes by Tropeifier

Here are some common color schemes. Using them can help make your art more appealing to the eye.

Complimentary: Two colors opposite on color wheel.

Analagous: Three or four colors next to each other on the wheel.

Split-Complimentary: A color and the two next to its compliment, forming a Y.

Triadic: Colors forming an equilateral triangle on the wheel.

Tetradic: Like triadic, but forms a square.

...

These aren't the only color schemes, but they're the most common.

I don't use these a ton, but when I do, I prefer analagous and tetradic, as they have the most options available at four colors each. Complimentary is a bit too restricting to me unless I use tints and shades as well.
