Hmmmm....I don't know if that would work...

I'd like to see two different stories/timelines, though I'm worried some people might be confused by it.

But I personally like the idea. :)

I sound like a bully, but in my opinion, a ship would not work out.
First of all, I love Rechor's personality how it is, so a sweet, romantic one would be weird. Two different Rechors would be confusing for most, as well as two backstories.
Also, I see Rechor's non-evil personality as a chivalrous, gentle type, not romantic. Same with Torcher. To me, at least, Torcher does not seem like the romantic type in any way. From what I've seen, he cares more about sleep and being alone due to his past, so changing his backstory would change his personality.
Lastly, I can only see the two as rivals, not a couple. In order for a ship to work out, you would have to change their personalities a lot, and by then they wouldn't be themselves anymore.
I personally enjoy seeing them as rivals more, because if they are a couple, how will they decide who's mustache is better? XD
This all sounds so mean of me, but I shouldn't lie about my opinion, right? xP

I'd say go for it. Two different canons would never hurt.

Okay there seems to be some confusion. Me kind of wanting to ship torcher and Rechor ISN'T the main reason I want to have 2 different canons. It's because I can't see how Rechor's background story would work if he was french. I mean Torcher isn't french so how did they meet eachother and how did Rechor get to see the firecrystals? And before Rechor became evil, Torcher and Rechor were best friends. Torcher protected Rechor from some bullies once, and has been his friend since. And yes he is grumpy and rude and aggressive most of the time, but he's kind and loyal to his friends. He can be competitive though. But he always cared a lot about Rechor, and he felt really bad when Rechor turned evil thanks to him.

It's true they're both not romantic but they care a great deal about eachother.

Ah, I see what you mean. So they're more like close friends, not a couple, right? A ship is usually the two characters loving eachother, not being loyal and friendly to eachother, so when you said that I was really confused. Or maybe I am still confused, and am getting things wrong again? O_o

And yes they're very close friends and not really romantic. But I just find them a cute couple.
