Yeah, a lot of the images here represent different aspects of some of my artistic envy. The rainbow-dog thing with the musical-note shaped tail represents the fact that tons of others are able to create far better and colorful OCs then I ever can, while the ugly grey coatimundi-thing reprsents the banality and dullness of my own characters and art. The scenic mountain represents how I am horrible at landscape art, the yellow-thing represents how sometimes the most unoriginal and sloppy art gets the most fame. The gold star with brown border is something I shall never get, the anime girl reprsents the fact that others can draw humans in great detail while I am horrible at it. The smile pumkin thing represents fame, while the creepy black-shape is a visual pun for pride (only some people will get that reference, FMA:B).

I can relate. So much.
However, I actually think your art style is fantastic. There's nothing wrong with not coating all your characters in bright neon paint, either.
Colors! just happens to be home to a lot of young kids that think so.
