Wow, even Lucifer has anger issues. Yeah, I better explain this one. Lucifer (I might start calling him Luke for short) has a condition where he sees things that were once there, but no longer are. Because of this, he makes an extra plate of food for Eris. When he sees she hasn't eaten, he stores it for a time when she may "get hungry." Diablo usually cleans the fridge out when Luke is asleep, to help his condition without being caught.

(CONTINUED) I should also probably explain the transition between volumes.
Vol 1: literally the events after Hell's Angels. Matt is driving the car and some weird guys run them off the road, totaling their car. Luckily, Angelo was able to scavenge the GPS (ATD in this universe) and program it to their father's house. They have been stuck outside in the middle of nowhere for about 36 hours when Jon *cough* picks them up and gives them a lift. They never knew where Jon was going, and he didn't know where they wanted to go. And basically you know the rest.
Vol 2: This volume is planned to go deeper into the personalities of each character. As you see above, we went into Luke's and Diablo's personalities. The series is supposed to mainly revolve around Matt, but the others deserve a lot of recognition too.
Okay, that seems like enough. I'm probably about to go past the character count, so enjoy the series.

Thank for the explanation and the chronology. I understand this comic (and series) much better now! Poor Luke, the loss was simply too much...
