The gem on her chest is actually two separate gems. When they fuse together, the gems interlock perfectly.
I gave it a Ying Yang design because Jadeite and Nephrite are similar minerals yet each have unique differences. Jadeite is a harder material, yet more fragile. Nephrite is a softer, almost powdery material, and more dense. When both are combined, you create Jade.

So when you do see her fuse, the gems spin around and interlock in the center.
