i understand where you're coming from. i have a phsyical disability so people tend to pick me out.
when people say things like that, it's important for yourself to know that it's them that have the problem, not you.
"not like us" i hate that, but if to be like them means being a hurtful, judgemental jerk, that's no way to live.
try your best to ignore the c.rap people say, stay strong
