PADDY NOT PATTY!!! by 8 bit Penguin

To quickly clarify, St. Patricks Day originated in Ireland very early on celebrating St. Paidrig (Irish ver. of Patrick) who (apparently) drove the snakes out of the island. His name coined the term Paddy (slang for an Irish person). The term St.Patrick's day was during Britain's ownership of Ireland so that by the time it got Independence in 1918, it was the popular name for the day. BUT, it is not called Patty's Day after saint patrick, but it's properly called PADDY'S DAY #stpatricksday

Sorry for the lecture but, yeah, as ever I will grab some fish and chips and scale the side of a hotel to watch the parade with a friend. You can ask questions about this if you want

And are you guys doing anything tomorrow?

Yeah, they're less about marching bands here and more about big floats and mad eclectic jim Henson style stuff. But yeah, have a good un'

Sometimes it genuinely confuses me how much americans TRY to celebrate st. patricks day. Glad to see regular paintings from you again, Denis mate

^eh, still it's like asda and tesco doing black friday, it isn't really where it should be but people are up for the ride anyway, lile the sheer amount of tourists here in Dublin at the moment is ridiculous.

And yeah thanks, I'm trying to draw for at least an hour everyday now because until 3 days ago I hadn't drawn at all in 3 months so...
