I sympathize with not knowing when the contest ends. Colors is kind of vague about it isn't it? For example, does the 16th mean the beginning or end of the day? Are they going by a specific time zone?
@Flame24 Yes, kind of tricky to know when is the deadline. I think the 16th mean I can still submit stuff during this day. Though what is the time zone? I suppose it's based on US time zones (then I'm certainly safe because), or, perhaps, it changes depending on where the current challenge winner lives - the one who judges (if they are from Australia then it's no good, haha)?
I think you have until midnight of that particular date, not sure if timezone matters or if it's just as long as your upload says that specific day. How do you like the new 3ds? Is it any better than the original?
@JJMAwaken Ah yes. That's is also a possibility. Actually when I judged artworks I looked a the date and I assume the date is somehow tied to your date set on the system (but in that case you could cheat in that way - you are in Australia and there is 17th but you set yout date to 16th). Or maybe it is set on the time set on the Gallery? I don't remember right now if I chose time zone when I registered. But if you are allowed to do such then the site may dictates the date and time. I should ask about this issue, I'm getting curious after seeing the comments here.
It is better. It's much closer to my perfect 3DS: Twarda edition. Bigger screens but not big enough to make everything jagged and pixelated (like on XL), better and faster Internet, more accurate touchscreen and no more carrying CPP on long trips with me is definitely a plus (portable devices should be kept simple and easy to carry). Of course the stabble 3D effect is really nice and it works - I play my games with 3D slider on max and I enjoy the 3D effect even more than on the old system. The screens have yellower tint however (I'm getting used to that) - and that may effect my paintings, the stylus placement and it's size and shape sucks greatly, the grip isn't that comfortable as it used to be (with face buttons being slighty lower due to c-stick) but that's only noticeable in longplays, no more fast to access wi-fi button (which I used a lot), the strap hole is kinda in a weird position (I use strap while playing) and I belive sometimes it will be beter to use CPP (which you can't use with the N3DS) for some games (more comfortable grip and CPP has the actual Circle Pad instead of the awkward rubber nipple - c-stick (but to be fair c-stick does it's job done very well)) are the flaws. You can play CPP supporting games easily on it and MGS3D (and other games) works nicely, but you have to have in mind that long plays may cause a tiredness and cramps in your right hand. At least that's for me.
