maru's crystal has shaderd into meny pices thus relesing the dark one called Samura. Samura chased maru away from her charry blossome forest and turned it into a forest of dead trees. maru unable to change into her light form or evin use the elament of light she runs nonstop knowing if she dos then Samura will contenue to tear at maru with her dark powers.
