everyone. the number of stars a pic gets determines if the pic is good enough, usually aound 35-40 likes i think gets to weeks best. well i think thats how it works

Lets say that lots of people do trace butsometimes they add alot more deatail than what they draw, this gets alot of likes

As several other people have mentioned, the amount of likes relates to the weeks best. But people are going to keep tracing, and people are going to keep liking traced artworks. So most of the people who do good art without tracing just don't seem to get noticed, sadly. It's one of the few things I dislike about Colors3D. :/

WELL, BUT I THINK THIS WORKS BAD, BECAUSE TRACED PICS CAN´T BE WEEKS BEST,AND PEOPLE USSUALLY LIKE THE MOST FAMILIAR AND SIMPLE KNOWN THINGS AS POKEMON, TOONS AND SOME COLORFUL IMAGES :(

Exactly! Traced art of popular series' always ends up getting the most attention because people recognise it! Not because the artist has slaved over it, or put hours into creating an original work, but because it's something people recognise. :/

Is not just Trace is easier and faster : S And there are a lot of great paintings... better than some of the ones at best of week...

I think its just the paintings that got the most likes that week, I don't think anyone chooses.

It matters how many stars they get. I agree, I am dissapointed when I see something I think is brilliant..... untill I see its traced.
):( I don't like anything if its traced, nor do I trace.
