The wave of intense heat swept across the area. You would have been utterly fried had someone not blocked the blast from reaching you. She stood unfazed, hair whipping about as the wall of heat hit her backside. She had enormous, glossy wings, and looked down at you with a mildly blank expression. You had fallen onto your own backside when the heat blast had began moving, before you could find shelter. Helpless.
Looking up at her, you couldn't help asking a question. "A-are you an angel....?" you blurt out before anything else. Those wings of hers seemed like a dead giveaway to you, but you weren't too sure. This person didn't seem like the angelic type.
That question catches her attention. She looked down at you, her facial expression changing to one of slight intrigue. Then, she cracked a grin that made you feel unnerved. What's going on? Hearing her chuckle made it even worse.
"Hah. Just the opposite, kiddo."
After hearing that, your fear level hitched up another notch. She was going to k.ill you, wasn't she?!?! You didn't realize that you were trembling.
The stranger didn't even offer to help you up after the gust had subsided. Before you could say anything else, she gestured to the fiery surroundings. "Welcome to Hell."
