The past few days have been cold and dark and rainy. Late yesterday afternoon the sun slipped beneath the clouds and lit the palm trees on the next street over.

This painting reminded of a time when i was a kid there was a crazy wind storm and it woke me up in the middle of the night.. i stared out the window at a palm tree the next street over and it looked like a wild man with his hair flying around... i know that story was random LOL! if you don't mind Aaron a couple questions? what state do you live in? and do you paint on canvas? if so is there anyway online to see your work? thank you so much!

@hanoitwin: I love hearing peoples random stories. I wish more people took the time to put the comment section to use. As far as painting on canvas, I have painted quite a few over the years. I had sort of stopped around twenty-eleven, and haven't really done much since before Colors! Some of the stuff in my gallery is taken directly from paintings I had done on canvas. I don't have any photos of any of them online however. I do have a rotting deviant art account I made in the early days of Colors 3d, maybe I will dust it off and add a few photos. I live in California, sometimes I tag paintings if they are set here, as I intend to do with this one at some point. Thanks for your questions, I hope I have addressed them fully.

@QWERTYD0G: Sorry about that. I suppose you don't want to hear that I've been wearing shorts and sandals all winter.

@mastermaximill: Thank you. I couldn't resist taking a few pictures.

oh god I bet that means theres snow on the way for me... (maine)
But besides the winter complaint, this is lovely, realistic yet retaining a painting like quality through the impressionist style. Really nice.

Thank you @SeaGlass. Other than the cold, and that every Steven King book takes place there, Maine seems like a nice place to live. California has lots of problems.

I was outnumbered when it was just me and my wife :)

This makes me miss Salvador (Brazil) even more! Aw...
Also, seeing you paint, it's almost like eating a gourmet dessert. It's delicious in every bite! Thank you!
(also, it's times like these that I'm grateful I finally got a 3ds and Colors too c: )

your art is beautiful

We don't have palms here but I know the view. Sun lit trees can make beautifuly contrast on dark, cloudy, sky. Nicely done.
