i'm just
i don't really feel satisfied with my art style
like
i feel like it should be different, and better
but it's not
and i can't do much about it
it's practically the only style i know
and i can't do cute doodle scribs or chibi for sh!t
everyone else has such rad styles and i'm sitting here doodling ugly things in my agenda that are supposed to be cats but don't even look like it
there's so much i need to fix
i'm getting aggravated at all the things i can't do

i'm tired

i feel ya. this is literally my life right now. I can't take my style anymore. I constantly want to change, and I'm telling myself, "Oh, Im just trying something new." But I just cant like my style, and I feel I will never be happy with it as long as I keep beating myself up for it :T sorry for this vent ^-^"

y'know what i like to do when this happens?
go on tumblr, google, wherever
and just
look at different styles
find a few you like
and try to mimic their style
copy lines, see how they do things
and then try to encorporate it into my style somehow (thats how that edwin doodle came to be)
just draw
doesnt have to be good
specific
just draw and draw away your thoughts uvu

Look at other styles for inspiration. (Just don't copy them) and draw what you love really. I'm not satisfied with my style either,so just keep drawing and practicing really.

i got stuck like this for while, i guess i still kinda am. but tbh its practice practice practice. draw everyday towards what you want to achieve and youll get there eventually. know what you could achieve with practice and work to that, then repeat this until youve got your to your utlimate goal.

my personal tips/style is essentially loosen up. practice real quick sketches to get the natural flowing strokes. if i dont do this i guess my lines feel 'artificial' and 'slow', aka not very pretty... idk, i guess im just a sucker for sketches since it shows the human element of drawing. im still impressed by the skill it takes in lineart and colouring but yeah. idk how this helps im sorry

re: and only if u wanna get hexed ;^0
