you know you said bout bein like a mercenary in ways of how you work on MH, i think the way i work on it is like a Devastator and/or an Assault Marine from Warhammer, you can depend on em to Dish it out like the terminator from a distance (Devastator Marine: Heavy Bolter) or up close and personal, Evading with ease able to provide support and lead a strike (Assault Marine: Power Sword), Sound bout right?
