kurai was made to kill and actually eat humans, demons, and angels. he could eat animals but it doesn't satisfy his hunger. he actually can only get full from eating humans or other demons or angels, eating regular food only makes him hungrier. he has this problem and doesn't tell his family cause he's scared they might hate him if he told them.
