For my history presentation... The boy is supposed to be Henry VIII. The fluffy pets represents the power and money and the DOG is representing the ordinary and poor people (it is for a book for small children so that's why you see al those (idk that word in English) things)
I'm sorry this is not what you expected but school goes first. And the dog is actually a wolf but my classmates are getting tired from al the wolfs I randomly draw in my note book and stuff like that:3 so I call it a "dog" lol
