eh by Bennett

i have improved a lot recently and i am realy proud of that, but i have been putting so much effort into my work and i have been getting barely any stars. my most recent post is the least liked post ive ever had, and i worked on it for hours. and then quick drawings that take me half the time now that i made a year ago has gold stars! it feels like im doing something wrong and i am getting really low motivation. it seems like my effort is just getting overlooked.

i know part of it is that i havent been posting much, but i am currently working on 5 drawings for you guys so yeah. im just so confused as to why i put in so much effort now and get nothing for it but when i put in not that much effort a year ago and people love it.

im not sure if starting a new account will help or not but i dont want to leave this one because i love seeing my improvement, plus i did that so many times with hatena that i swore not to do it again.

you've just hit a dry spell! i've done it many times. you just gotta work through it! and don't draw just for the stars! draw for YOU! draw what makes you happy, eSPECIALLY during dry spells!

Ahhhhh, what Biggoron said!!
It's 100% true, so just keep up what you're doing and you'll get back up there!
But remember, starts aren't what make your art good, YOU'RE what makes your art good!

Here's the answer:

The community is not the best. I've worked hard and maybe haven't got alot of likes so I came down to conclusion-I don't want likes. I want comments. Comments help more. They uplift your motivation and help with something you may need improvement. Likes just help get you recognized. So I dropped being popular and go for the fun of it! get those comments and continue on. I really don't care about those likes. >:C

Late and already been said, but yeah, being past your prime has more to do with quality, which we can all agree, is definitely NOT the issue with you cause you're great!

Im sure once you rev up the engines a bit, youll see more activity! :3
