The Great Glass Giants by Elsola
Inspired by an exhibit of Chihuly glass I saw at an arboretum a few years ago, where the glass scupltures were elegantly arranged to accent the natural beauty of Mother Nature.The glass orbs floating in the sparkling fountains made me think of planets floating in a sea of stardust.
I didn't use any particular references, but I tried to at least somewhat capture the majesty that is Chihuly glass. This took a LOT of experimenting and trial and error. #Elsolabest #wc225 #glass #space #planet

Oh wow! the nebulas in the backround and all those stars look like it took awhile. xD This is amazing!! I love the detail you put into it! I could just stare at this for hours...

This is absolutely beautiful!! So detailed and colorful! I was thinking of painting chihuly for my entry but decided to paint something else. I went to a chihuly museum a couple years ago on a field trip. It was pretty cool :D
