You could clean your lineart just a bit (like stray edges/lines) and work on the shading; so it looks more gradient c: And if you're doing the one layer challenge, it means you have to do absolutely everything on a single layer, including coloring on top of the base and lineart. Same with the BG too.

I'd say the best thing to practice is blending the shading. It looks incomplete and draws away from the beauty it could have

also, practice coloring in the lines, it was a small detail i noticed in other paintings
