I think I forget most of my dreams as soon as I wake up. A few, however, seem to stick with me. This one's been lingering in the back of my mind for fifteen years.
@D-a-e-n-a: It started with me waking up in my bed and seeing someone looking in my window. I sat up and looked out and saw her looking back at me with her bright blue eyes and a look of sadness and fear on her face. Then she turned around and disappeared. That was the end of it.
Dreams are the most interesting things about humans to me. To find the meaning of the dream, you could try lucid dreaming...maybe that could work. Awesome light work.
@Flame Blade: When I had this dream I was way into lucid dreaming. What started happening, though, was that the settings of my dreams became places I would go or be in real life, like in this case. It became much more difficult to recognize I was dreaming.
@Flame Blade: Keeping a journal of your dreams will help you recognize common elements and themes of your dreams. Use methods for testing if you are dreaming often, even when you know you are awake. The idea is to developing a habit of performing a test anytime something unusual happens, especially something you've identified as common to your dreams. The test I used involved looking at writing or numbers, looking away, then looking immediately back. In a dream the writing usually won't stay the same, and often becomes unreadable, indicating a dream state. Once you become lucid don't try to rationalize or apply logic to the abilities you give yourself. Questioning how something is possible renders it impossible.

@angie irish: I really don't know what the dream means. It seemed meaningful, I just don't know why.
