Once there were two friends, dawn of their life
Together they flew high, above all their strife
They could not be parted, or so the one said
But the dreaded day came, and his tears ran red
They grew up, away and apart
But they sought each other with strength of heart
Striving to live till the day they would meet
And resume an old friendship, forgotten but sweet
The one had lived fine, but with many a tear

The other, consumed by darkness and fear
For a time the two clashed, just didn't connect
And fate split the two again, their relations all wrecked
The second time they met, they leapt at their chains
And vowed ne'er to part again
For a time they lived on, strength in their trust
One had found love, the other love lost
And left for a time, he thought his time done
But the one was hurt, and darkness had won
He was stripped of his colors, his friend, nay his light
And now was too prone to the sadness and night
Ascension, that cruel destroyer of all
Had tried to sever this bond, but the friends stood tall
They fought their last fight, and stood their last stand
And their tears, but their story, would not leave the land

(Few things to cover: If this doesn't rhyme, it's because I'm listening to music, which ironically ruins my poetic rhythm. If this doesn't make sense, a lot of this is inside knowledge. It shouldn't and probably won't.
Third: I'm feeling a bit better. So there's that.)
