just HEAR me out by Infinite_Thoughts

-at first i said just Christians, but i meant everyone. sorry for handwriting and misspelling-

i know this is a touchy subject but im getting REALLY SICK AND TIRED of seeing really hateful comments towards people.
JUST B NICE TO EACHOTHER and respect people's beliefs and doings. It's not that hard. You don't have to agree with anything another person does, but that doesn't give you the right to say mean and rude things to people. i hate when ppl say that all Christians are rude to certain ppl

No invisible man can scare me.
No humorless man will control me.
No book, no matter how old it's pages, will ever have any legitimate place in my actions.

Yoooo same, I hate hateful Christians that make us all look bad, and I also hate when people start hating me JUST because they hear I'm a Christian. I reblogged something on Tumblr about being Christian and an anon messaged me like "omg u transphobic" ??? I AM GENDERFLUID HOW AM I GONNA BE TRANSPHOBIC argh xD

you know why because people are human. We all make mistakes Christian or not. Unfortunately people who have faith may not be any better at relating to people than people who aren't. Kinda depends on your personality a bit. But as Christians we should strive to overcome any weakness to make sure we accurately represent the way that God loves ALL people even if He does approve of every person's actions. He is a very loving God and we should do our best to be that as well, sometimes it's hard but we should work at it and allow God to change the way we act in our everyday lives.

I don't care what anyone's religion is as long as they're a decent human being

I meant even if He does not approve of someone's actions (sin) he still loves the person (I forgot the not)

Sorry sister, but you're goinig to have to get used to it, it's evolutionary psychology. We are programed to be hostile to people different to us (US usually being people we grew up around). I hear we were born this way used by homos.exuals (which by the way I'm not homophobic) all the time, but that same argument can be used equally as well for homophobes. We are born to fear and or hate those with which we do not empathize. What's funny is religion is supposed to be a tool to help us transcend human nature, instead it has become just another trait we discriminate against. Even you are guilty of it in this very drawing. The whole thing is pretty funny(in a pathetic kind of way) when you think about.

Eph 5:8

YESYESYES.

Yes, I do believe that homose.xuality is wrong because it was not God's design. But I'm not going to go around telling gays and lesbians that their lifestyles are wrong. That's putting the cart before the horse, and makes the God that I represent seem judgmental.

No one can overcome sin without Jesus. Spread Jesus first. THEN if someone decides to accept him, you may gently and kindly address the sins that they struggle with.

And hey. Friendly reminder that everyone's a sinner. No one is "less of a sinner" than someone else. God sees it the same--ALL have fallen short of His glory--but the beautiful thing is He loves us all anyway.

When it comes to religion and holy text, to surmise my thoughts, they're primitive, controlling and provide false security. While I believe in a naturalistic, non-personal God/gods, I don't believe in pretty much all "mainstream" religion, because truthfully, the very religions that have taken the most control of the world ironically did so by copying/plagarizing prior belief systems fargone and destroyed (almost) all evidence of the original. An example, Noah's arc, one of the bibles greatest tales isn't even biblical; its a re-telling of The Epic of Gilgamish with characters omitted and changed to go from a polytheistic pagan tale to a hijacked monotheistic one that many Christians today tout as one of Yahweh's greatest demonstrations upon mankind. I believe in "a" or "multiple" higher powers but no holy text is really infallible, much less the word of ANY god. We can derive excerpts from so-called holy text telling you having slaves is okay, stone people (cont'd)...
