Since when did l need to figure out the unit rate for things in my everyday life?

I understand. Math CAN be hard, and much of it we learn isn't actually necessary for the real world (hence the shirts that say: Well, another day has passed and I haven't used [algebra, calculus, etc.] once. Although math jokes are funny :] )

Math's a b!tch, but it helps you develop problem solving skills, I guess.
