Maybe the purple guy is actually a purple GIRL! i was playing the game and got the death mini game with the marienette and freddy, and I went into the room where you're supposed to see purple guy and the purple man came running at me with white streeks on his back and face! so, this is eather a glitch I encountered or we have a purple girl as the murderer! or it's another purple person scott never told us about.

I for some reason think of shadow Freddy (you know having a purple tint) as a golden Freddy but purple (because like how he looks like in the second one when he's in the room) he has wires out of his cheek and not to mention how he's posed. AND shadow Freddy has the same pose (different angle) with the wire out of his cheek. But why purple? Because the purple shade resembles to the Purple guy.
