The lone otter stood upon a great rock, it's peak several feet above the ground, and eyed the land from afar. Everything seemed calm, everything seemed quiet. But that's only how it seemed to a passive onlooker. She knew that the forest was a vicious thing, and couldn't ever be calm. Which is why she must stay on guard. You never knew with the woods, for there could be something lurking at all times.

WHERE ARE YOU PEOPLE

The half German Shepherd awoke, alone in the forest. He was wearing his labcoat, but the slightly muddy forest floor had ruined it. He was irritated. Her searched his pockets for his scalpel and.. What were these? They appeared to be monkey hands, yet still the same as his paws. He shakily got up, and still noticed he was still affected by his lack of sleep, even in this state...

..Where.. Where was he?

But there, in the still white of the snow, something moved. Slowly dropping down to the ground, Lady crept towards the creature- whatever it was- and silently nocked an arrow in her bow. She then spoke to whatever it was, her arrow focused on it. "Friend or foe!?"

Sidel waved his.. Monkey hands up in a sign of submission. "Friend?.." he said, nervously.

Lady lowered her bow towards the ground and stood fully erect. "What are you doing in the woods... dressed like that? Are you lost?" She tilted her silky head, the soft snowfall dimming sounds, and making her breath opaque.

Sidel tried to approach her, then slumped down. He wasn't used to this. Any of this. "Well.. Yes, actually." he said, still wondering why his paws were like this.

Lady looked around, just in case, and trudged towards the man. She held out a webbed hand, motioning for him to grab it. "Perhaps when I find my friends, I can ask them to take you to the nearest city." She tried her best to be welcoming to this poor, confused soul. (Lady, DUN HELP HIM)

Sidel gently grabbed her hand and pulled himself up. "I'm not quite used to.. This.." he said, then glanced around. "Where is this?" he asked. "I want to get out of.. Well, wherever we are."

Lady hummed to herself for a second. "We are... just north of the Southern alpines of Veledian nation. I'm not sure where the nearest town is, though...." She glanced around. "Umm... follow me and I'll see if I can find my friends. They have food and fires." And with that, she made off towards where she came

He slowly followed, unsure if she was going to trick him. He was wary, and he had his scalpel.

Lady followed her tracks through the snow, and it was quite easy to, as it was only snowing lightly and her tracks hadn't been covered yet. And there they were, the rag-tag group she called her friends. Star, the ringleader, of sorts. Varjak, the muscle, Anderson, the horse that pulled their cart (he couldn't talk). And whatever Magnus was.

Sidel looked oddly at the group. He was certainly out numbered. He'd have to be careful.. Especially around that.. Large, hairy thing. "Uh.. May you introduce them to me?" he asked her.

Lady waved hello to the group and they all sat up straight to get a look at the stranger, mutton still half-way in their mouths. "'Ello sir, why're 'ew out 'ere at this time.... an' in those clothes?" Star eyed him suspiciously, and Magnus skittred away at the sight of the doctors' jacket.

Lady nodded. "Of course. Varjak is the bear." He nodded at this. "The dog is Star, the ermine is Magnus, and Anders is the horse." At this, she chuckled.

Sidel stared oddly at the small, group of varying sizes. "I'm Sidel Rebrium. I'm a doctor." he said, quite kindly. He gave a odd look at the small prey-animal boy, and looked back again. "Good to meet you."

Varjak murmured. "And you too..." He went back to gnawing on his mutton, and Star piped up. "'Ew 'hungry?"

Sidel looked at the girl. "No thanks." he said, calmly.

They ate like slobs. It would ruin his labcoat.

"Eh, more fer me." She shrugged and got up from the rough log she was sitting on. Looking out into the woods, Star noticed a bit of movement. She edged further into the woods, drawing her small dagger. "'Ello?" She immediately regretted that, as a large, white wolf and a few smaller ones trailing. They must've smelt the mutton, and must've been very hungry. "Hey, um.... 'elp guys?" She turned towards the group, and they were all ready. Besides Magnus. She huffed, then turned back, the frightened screeches of the horse in the background.

(Well that escalated quickly. XD)

Sidel held his guard. He thought about telling the big one to attack, but he didn't want to risk it.

Varjak took out his large rifle and gave out a warning shot. The smaller wolves scattered, but the larger ones remained. Just then, one lunged for Magnus, who was obviously smaller than the rest, and grabbed a hold of his leg. Magnus cried out loud, and Varjak shot the wolf square in the side. It continued to attack Magnus for a few seconds before it collapsed, and the rest of the wolves loped off into the forest again.

Okay, I guess we're done here? I have to go.
