More feuds between my friends, getting caught in the middle. I should just forget everything and be a hermit crab. Hide under my blanket all day and binge on cookies... I never asked for this...

No, it's not that. Not at all.
Before we started dated, I was suffering mega depression. Dealing with an overcomplicated relationship that made me suffer more and more. I became happy to be with you, to have some one to cling to and love. I still enjoy the moments we have together and always will.
It's just all the feuds... when they happen you stop clinging to me and focus on the problems. You get super distracted and use me as some one to complain to. They're my friends too. So I end up getting stuck in a corner and facing the future of having to take a side. I'm not that kind of person. So I get stuck now having to hide in my shell and wait until the fallout.
...I just want peace...

peace is when everything is calm, and you can find love and happiness in everything.
So, when we're together, it's peaceful. And usually romantic too.
