I'm surprised you're still painting on your DS. My L/R buttons are barely usable.

Hehe... hence the reason for lack of uploads from me. I have a huge problem with not being able to 'connect' each time I pull the SD/R4 card out my DS. Plus my screen now has dead spots, which actually has a use. ;)

My 'baby' is half dead as is. No inclination to buy a new one, so I'm taking her as far as she will go. It's like romanticism for the modern age of disposable electronic goods! :D

Aww, I get some of those issues also. So, would that truly be the end of your paintings on colors when your DS gives up the ghost?

I would say yes, to your question. Yes. I'm holding on as it is, and have staked most of this year not posting, so I could 'pull the plug' and have the biggest return for my investment, so to speak. But that investment is purely for myself. There's some stuff on my SD card that has been there for over 3 years, but it wasn't finished. Do I risk another unplug for the sake of a few paintings done early 2014, just so I can upload? Naah... not when I had lots of shit stored on my SD from way back.

Last unplug (what will be everything I post through the new year), cost me something personal... I mean to 'pull the plug'. Last two connections I made forced me to 'lift' the brass strips away from the plastic a little on my R4 card to even get a connection.

I've had offers from lovely people to send me their old shit. That is really beautiful and I have been most beholden; but I have it in my head now. I kind of like the inevitability of it all - the natural lifespan of electronic goods. There's a beauty in that, which I am only now becoming aware of. I should have picked up on that as a kid, with my Amiga 1200, or earlier with my second grade Spectrum (not the one with the rubber keys (how I pined for that in later years).

Blah, blah, blah... I'm cool with my DS dying. This latest batch of not uploading gave me another 40-50 paintings. Not bad.

But wait,here's the real kicker... when I plugged my R4 back in after my latest offload, it sparked into life right away. Yahooooo! May no last much longer, but hopefully I can get 2015 Winter & Spring covered! :D
