in my lil plot canon,,, faeries wings are 'magical' and not really physical. they appear from markings on the back. these glow at all times and also represent life force, so if a faery is sick or injured it will be dimmer (also a predictor for death hh) patterns are symmetrical and are based off the faerys origins.

ori's is a henna/celtic mix attempt ahaa they can be a simple swirl or w/e... i just over did ori's oops
