Why did the Grim Reaper split in the first place?
maybe he was lonely
he existed before death
he was afraid
and needed comfort
Grim could comfort Reaper
and Reaper could comfort Grim
A darkness lived inside the Grim Reaper
and gave it all to Grim
so that maybe one of them could live happily
but as Grim and Reaper grew older
the darkness grew stronger
Grim tried to control it
but was in pain
the darkness was eating him alive...

The darkness existed in Grim only, so Reaper was unaffected?
