Raised by humans, gets food through working as a message relayer at Anteiku Coffee Shop in Tokyo. Both parents are european, and adopted Niko before the CCG could figure out that she wasn't human.
Her mask resembles a cat, as a play on words with her name, Niko and Neko sound similar
