Almost 90 years ago the gallaxy was though to be the whole Universe, Edwin Hubble showed that it was only a tiny part of it! . . . . . . THANKS A LOT!!!! I already feel small and insignificant, Mr Hubble!

How insignificant are we talking here. I mean, the universe is basically just a giant indefinative ball of almost nothing. Albeit, Earth is like microbe crawling around on a speck of dust in a football field, .. I don't know where I'm going with this XD

And it was not untill about half of a millennium ago that people began to consider that the earth is not at the center of what we now know as the solar system (which was thought to be the center of the universe), but rather that the earth and planets orbit the sun. Nicolaus Copernicus was the first to propose a heliocentric model. Though currently most of the leading physicists explain that its very likely that the universe may be an infinitesimaly tiny portion of a collection of universes within what is often called the multiverse. SCIENCE IS INCREDIBLE!

Beautiful work! Have you seen the new Hubble's photos yet? It retook some classics the original had taken, and they're high def! Amazingly clear, with entirely new color spectrums! :)
