Verdant Mind Shift by Based_Diablo
Matt's "dreams" are caused by a phenomenon called a Mind Shift. A Mind Shift can make one seem as if their body and mind are in separate places, dimensions, or times. Matt has the Verdant ability, where he sees glimpses of the future until he is either woken up, or he dies in his Mind Shift. As for remembering, he needs to recreate the scenario before he recieved that vision, to recieve it again. Only a few characters have the Mind Shift ability, and fewer know how to control it.
