Well, it's that time of year again, the time of year where you're forced to be around se.xist/racist/qu.eerphobic/over opinionated a.sshole family members, and maybe some of them don't know you're que.er or maybe you're just really f#cking sick of their sh.it! Either way,here are some tips to staying safe and calm at family gatherings:
-Ask all friends and family that do know you are que.er (if you are) to not say anything around certain family members

-Avoid bringing up the question 'So, do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend yet'
-Avoid conversations about religion
-Avoid conversations about school
-Avoid conversations about the racial issues that have been goin on in the U.S. lately
-Avoid the dru.nk relatives
-Go to a secluded room (like a bathroom or a bedroom) if you have a panic attack or if you feel overwhelmed
And always remember:
-You're an amazing person
-Things that other people say, don't define you
-I love you and there are so many others who love you too
-You're seriously great and I believe that you can make it through the holidays
